So I finally capitulated this weekend and agreed that I cannot continue to wear many of my clothes as I become a shadow of my former self. I've almost lost twenty pounds, but more importantly, I've lost four inches off my waist and/or pants size. I'm not going to ruin my leather belts with homemade holes that are beyond where they are supposed to be. My pants hang on my hips, so they don't fall. I did have a hard time looking at new jeans, and these are "regular fit" instead of "loose fit". My problem was that the loose fit ones that I have now, are way too baggy. Changing our diets have not been easy, but I just don't buy the stuff we shouldn't eat. It is much easier to avoid those items that way.
Warren Buffet says to tax the rich, but let's be fair about this. Why not tax people all at the same rate? A flat tax would solve many issues. This could be paid (mostly) by your employers and the gubmint would get its money every payday instead of having to wait for tax season. Everybody would file a short form anyway: did you make more money than your employer paid tax on? Are you self employed?... Send n% to the gubmint. AND BECAUSE everyone (and hopefully, according to Mitt Romney, every corporation- which are just people anyway) will pay their own flat percentage- therefore lowering the amount of tax most of the middle and lower class, and raising the amount paid by the affluent. This is FAIR. The reason we won't do it is that those affluent and corporations would rather spend the same or more $$$ on lobbyists to keep this from happening. The EVIL is in the whole idea of allowing LOBBYISTS These same affluent and corporations BUY their candidates because they wield tremendous power and connections that can and will get politicians elected and reelected. Why don't we OUTLAW LOBBYISTS ? That would be a REALLY big step in the direction of cleaning up politics.
To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine..
And those who don't and are always
seen with a bottle of water in their hand.
As Ben Franklin said:
In wine there is wisdom,
In beer there is freedom,
In water there is bacteria.
In a number of carefully controlled trials,
Scientists have demonstrated that if we drink
1 liter of water each day,
At the end of the year we would have absorbed
More than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. Coli) - bacteria
Found in feces.
In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.
However,
We do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer
Because alcohol has to go through a purification process
Of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.
Remember:
Water = Poop,
Wine = Health
Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid,
Than to drink water and be full of Shit..
There is no need to thank me for this valuable information:
I'm doing it as a public service

My Statement
"Let me emphatically say that I am not anti-Facebook (Fleecebook), anti-smart phone, anti-Microsoft, anti-Apple, anti-Google or anti-Internet. I do believe, though, that the consumer is being ripped off of his privacy, identity and purchase history. We are being herded into a Facebook corner where what we "Like" and where we go physically and on the net will be scrutinized and sold numerous times to actually corrode and erode our culture while tempting us only with convenience, high tech and flashing video screens. The unsuspecting consumers need to be aware..." - Gary Lapman
