Why would anyone with half a brain care what Sarah Palin has to say or believe that she could sway an election by what she says? The commotion in the primaries for the formerly(G)OP candidate is such a mess that frontrunners come and go with each primary. Sometimes I think that the best support that a candidate could get is if Obama would say that he didn't think he could win against that person. Of course he wouldn't say that, because there isn't (and won't be) a viable competitor.
I think that the real answer here is that many people that vote are uninformed. They vote on a whim or arbitrarily because they like the candidate's hair, or don't like the other candidates wife...or some other non-applicable reason. Unfortunately, their vote counts just the same.
How to be a gracious southern bitch
Jennifer's wedding day was fast approaching. Nothing could dampen her excitement - not even her parent's nasty divorce. Her mother had found the PERFECT dress to wear, and would be the best-dressed mother-of-the-bride ever! A week later, Jennifer was horrified to learn that her father's new, young wife had bought the exact same dress as her mother! Jennifer asked her father's new young wife to exchange it, but she refused. "Absolutely not! I look like a million bucks in this dress, and I'm wearing it," she replied. Jennifer told her mother who graciously said, "Never mind sweetheart. I'll get another dress. After all, it's your special day." A few days later, they went shopping, and did find another gorgeous dress for her mother. When they stopped for lunch, Jennifer asked her mother, "Aren't you going to return the other dress? You really don't have another occasion where you could wear it."
Her mother just smiled and replied, "Of course I do, dear.....I'm wearing it to the rehearsal dinner the night BEFORE the wedding."

My Statement
"Let me emphatically say that I am not anti-Facebook (Fleecebook), anti-smart phone, anti-Microsoft, anti-Apple, anti-Google or anti-Internet. I do believe, though, that the consumer is being ripped off of his privacy, identity and purchase history. We are being herded into a Facebook corner where what we "Like" and where we go physically and on the net will be scrutinized and sold numerous times to actually corrode and erode our culture while tempting us only with convenience, high tech and flashing video screens. The unsuspecting consumers need to be aware..." - Gary Lapman
