We went to Oxy today to pick up my daughter for summer break (already). I am utterly amazed at how much stuff she seemed to accumulate in just two semesters. Luckily, my daughter didn't expand at the same rate... I'm sure that we had the car packed when we took her down, but not quite as full. Unfortunately, a few larger items would not fit and we had to leave them to be replaced next year. Meanwhile safe and sound at home...
Still trying to figure out last night's Fringe season finale. It started out in the future (2026), but it was actually one of the alternative futures. Peter backed up and chose another. I'm still trying to figure out who or what was part of that original future and what changed for the current alternative future. Also, who ARE the First People and who are the Observers ?

My Statement
"Let me emphatically say that I am not anti-Facebook (Fleecebook), anti-smart phone, anti-Microsoft, anti-Apple, anti-Google or anti-Internet. I do believe, though, that the consumer is being ripped off of his privacy, identity and purchase history. We are being herded into a Facebook corner where what we "Like" and where we go physically and on the net will be scrutinized and sold numerous times to actually corrode and erode our culture while tempting us only with convenience, high tech and flashing video screens. The unsuspecting consumers need to be aware..." - Gary Lapman
