My Statement

"Let me emphatically say that I am not anti-Facebook (Fleecebook), anti-smart phone, anti-Microsoft, anti-Apple, anti-Google or anti-Internet. I do believe, though, that the consumer is being ripped off of his privacy, identity and purchase history. We are being herded into a Facebook corner where what we "Like" and where we go physically and on the net will be scrutinized and sold numerous times to actually corrode and erode our culture while tempting us only with convenience, high tech and flashing video screens. The unsuspecting consumers need to be aware..." - Gary Lapman

Hoping tomorrow is a better day...

Not much to say today, as I have been really busy at work.  At home I am starting to catalog my coin collection (lot's of work).

I heard today that Consumer Reports issued a "don't Buy" for a Lexus SUV.  That is a really hard review to attain.  Apparently they think it is too dangerous to drive.  Toyota agrees with them and has pulled off the market.  Don't they test their cars at all anymore ???

5 Secrets of a Perfect Relationship
1. It's important to have a woman who helps at home, who cooks and cleans from time to time, and has a job.

2. It's important to have a woman who can make you laugh.

3. It's important to have a woman who you can trust and who doesn't lie to you.

4. It's important to have a woman who is good in bed and who likes to be with you.

5. It's very, very important that these four women don't know each other.

New Euro Language in the works
"The European Union commissioners have announced that an
agreement has been reached to adopt English as the preferred
language for European communications, rather than German, which
was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British government conceded
that English spelling had some room for improvement and has
accepted a five-year phased plan for what will be known as
EuroEnglish (Euro for short).

In the first year, "s" will be used instead of the soft "c".
Sertainly, sivil servants will resieve this news with joy.

Also, the hard "c" will be replased with "k". Not only will this
klear up konfusion, but typewriters kan have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year, when
the troublesome "ph" will be replaced by "f". This will make
words like "fotograf" 20 per sent shorter.

In the third year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be
expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are
possible.

Governments will enkorage the removal of double letters, which
have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

Also, al wil agre that the horible mes of silent "e"s in the
languag is disgrasful, and they would go.

By the fourth year, peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as
replasing "th" by "z" and "w" by "v".

During ze fifz year, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords
kontaining "ou", and similar changes vud of kors be aplid to ozer
kombinations of leters.

Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey
vunted in ze forst place. Sieg Heil!"
